What is test anxiety?

How Does test anxiety happen?

Test anxiety happens when you are unable to control your thoughts and you let those thoughts escalate out of control, to the point to where your heart rate goes up and you begin to get extremely nervous.

Test anxiety is something that is a serious concern for many individuals, especially students that are in college. Tests are something that you are going to have to get used to, as they happen in all aspects of life, including even as young as elementary school.

Physical manifestations of test anxiety may include: sweating, shaking, fast heart thumped, dry mouth, swooning and queasiness. Milder instances of exam anxiety can make a feeling of “butterflies” in the stomach, while more extreme cases can make the student physically sick.
